Author H.M. Naqvi talks to First Seminar Group

H. M. Naqvi speaks to the class from Karachi, Pakistan, via Skype.

 

On 17 November, H.M. Naqvi, the author of the novel Home Boy spoke to First Seminar students via Skype from Karachi, Pakistan. This was a Fourth Hour activity for the course America Chutnified: The Immigrant Experience (FSSO170), run by Suhaan Mehta. The students were able to ask Naqvi questions about Home Boy, which they read as part of the seminar. Dr. Mehta reports ‘It was 10:45 p.m. in Karachi when we connected. The conversation with H.M. lasted for around 45 minutes, and he came across as very eloquent and erudite. At the end of the session, he said that he enjoyed speaking to a well-informed audience.’
